When you arrive in Brixen, you are in fact arriving in the centre of South Tyrol/Alto Adige.
The town is situated directly at the Brenner motorway and the Brenner railway line. Brixen is close to the Dolomite mountains, Val Gardena, the Seiser Alm, Meran, Bolzano/Bozen, the Kronplatz, Alta Badia, Obereggen-Latemar, North Tyrol, Trentino.
Art, culture and history have made Brixen an important place to be.
Abbazia di Novacella/Kloster Neustift
Brixen is more than 1,000 years old; it is the oldest in South Tyrol/Alto Adige and was often a stopover for emperors on their travel and became a lavish bishop’s seat.
The unique square in front of the cathedral, the protected large-scale historic centre from the Middle Ages, the porticos and lanes decorated with merlons, museum treasures, craft tradition  archaeological exhibits, and the mountains around invite you to enjoy the town and the region.
